OK... this article is about a cai shootout for the GT, but it mentions the V6 quite a bit, since several manufacturer's also produce or will be producing intakes for our beloved 4.0L's. It gives each intake a subjective score, including fit and finish, durability, ease of installation, etc and includes gains for each unit. I think it's a great source to help us six-bangers choose a manufacturer. A few interesting notes, a couple times the article mentions the importance of a heat shield and that plastic inlet tubes have been known to melt under hot weather conditions.

Not in New England anyway, though I've heard that figure thrown around elsewhere too. Either its 70/30 the other way here, or the supposed 7 out of 10 guys owning GTs never actually drive them...

Must be typo or just factual error... I agree... gotta be 70/30 the other way.

Its always been 70/30 in favor of v6's or at least real close to that in the past.

60/40 w/ the nod towards the 6's. This is from Fords numerous press releases/factory discussions on the new model. Ford only expected approx 40% to ordered as GT. Possibly a little higher (perhaps 55/45) given the popularity of the GT as 'new model' but not by much.
