Ok... I went to the track for the VERY FIRST TIME last night... Yes, I finally convinced the Mrs. to let me go... I told her you guys were putting so much pressure on me I just had to go! LOL! Ok... so I told her I was not going to drive.. that was part of the deal... So I went to the track with Lidio and let him drive the car... Now that she see nothing happened I'll work on getting behind the wheel myself! LOL!

So now for some numbers....

60' = 2.146
1/8 = 9.525
1/8 MPH = 73.26
1/4 = 14.922
1/4 MPH = 90.43

We were pretty happy with the car's performance! Not bad for it's first time out... it was a Test & Tune night so lots of difference cars out there... I was watching some of the other car's run.. I was faster than a lot of the older stock v8 cars.. Acutally on this run Lidio was along side of a late model Z28... My car actually stay quite close... he finished with a 14.462...

So all in all a good night... I will try and post a video...

Sweet times scrming! Yes, it is impressive how well the 4.0 is able to run well with the 93-98 GTs. Heck, the 96, if I recall wight had a base HP around ours. So unless a lot of mods have been done to one and it has been very well maintained with low miles, you will have some kills!

Great job and Yeppers..Post them mods in your sig when you get a chance.

You are absolutely right about the older GTs... There was a 93-98 GT there last night... the best time it managed was 5.11...

Those are some sweet times. My old 89 gt with h-pipe flowmasters, bbk 70mm tbody, fuel pres. regulator, msd digital 6, 3.73 gears, b&m shifter, bfg drag radials, c&l 73mm maf, and cold air intake. My best time was 14.77, Now Im not the best driver though. With my new 06 my best has only been 16.1 but I just got the xcal2 from doug at bama chips so we'll see what she does after that. Keep it up, I wanna see 14.5 soon! Yours is an automatic isnt it? What do you have your shifts set at with the xcal?

buscg, how many miles on your car? My best run was 16.18 with 500 miles on it, and down to a 15.26 with many thousands lol.

Nice! good to see your V6 dipping to the 14's.
The hook with those 265's must have been awesome to manage those 60 ft times
What pressure where you running on them btw?

Thanks all!

Yeah, i'm really happy with the 60' time...

Actually got thinking about tire pressure today... I didn't let any air out at the track so it's whatever it's supposed to be 30 or 35... LOL! May next time we'll let some air out... LOL!

Cool, I can easily see you getting even closer to 2 sec flat after a little playing around with it.
I think thats amazing! It may even put you down more solidly into the 14's.
Looking forward to your prgress
