Thank you, you figure they would update their own site. That looks like a h-pipe to me. I'm wondering how this works with the stock cats. Stock its all one piece, cats and y-pipe. It looks like they're using 2.5" pipes.

New forum member here... Thought I'd chime in...

I had duals put on at Meineke with Flowmasters and an h-pipe for 425 with tax. I just had them cut the bumper (scary). However, it looks really good. You cannot tell unless you get up underneath the car. I have noticed some vibration passing through 2100 RPM's and it can sound a little high pitched when you punch it and hit some high RPM's. At lower RPM's it sounds really good.

As for loss of power I can't tell. I suspect that I have lost some low end (even with the h-pipe) but I have no dyno's to confirm. For me, I was just going for the sound. I think that the perf gains or loss from a dual setup are minimal but I'm guessing. I have no tune or CAI and it's really difficult to tell due to the rev. limiter.

I do however really notice a difference in power (before the duals and after) with the AC on. It really drags. Anyone else experienced this with the AC on?

I've got that exact same vibration passing 2100 that you mentioned. It's probably because they had to cut off my dampener to add the 2nd pipe, so now there's no dampening on the exhaust. The vibration isn't bad though, it's just kind of a buzz as it's passing that RPM under acceleration.

I haven't noticed any drag with the A/C on. In fact, I've been surprised at how much pep it has with the A/C on. I can't imagine what may have changed with the duals installation that would affect that, but you might try reflashing the computer to see if it helps any.

Well our ride is at the 2nd shop today getting the exhaust re-done. Can't wait to hear it tonight with the bassanni x-pipe. I'll post an update tonight with the results...

Picked the car up lat night and it's much, much better than the true dual setup. Nice strong rumble from the x-pipe. It has to go back in this morning for some minor tweaking but we can live with that. Overall, we're much happier now with the current setup...

Kev - got the Bassanni x-pipe from 50resto.com. Good prices and fairly fast shipping.

The car had to go back to the shop yesterday for some vibration issues but now the car is back and it's almost 100%. Runs really strong through 5K and x-pipe sounds great. Doesn't sound like the GT but it never will but it also doesn't sound like a V6 - something in between. This new shop is bringing their exhaust guy in from their other shop that's an hour away so he can tune the exhaust. Now to me, that's service.
