engine swap

I just came across a 4.6L Cobra engine. Is it possible to get it into my 05 v6? The Cobra is from a 93-95 model with less than 1000 miles

They didn't have a 4.6l in the 93-95 models... so this sounds already...

I basically already have the 4.6. I was just wondering if its going to be a problem to swap. Or should I swap into my 99 v6?

Nope. 1st 4.6L Stang was 96. There were 4.6L's in some Lincoln's in that time frame, some DOHC too.

Nah. 4.6 came out in the mustang in 96. The 302 was 95 and before. Get some more info on the motor.

Look for the SVT badge on the valve cover. Just to make sure it wasn't pulled from something else.

What I want to know is it going to be a good engine. 4.6 dohc. Cause I can buy it and always use it for a different project. It supposedly has less than 1,000 miles. 500$

Look for a badge like the small tag on this one. The dohc in the mach1 is not the same.

Don't think that came off a cobra but might still be a decent upgrade. Tbone has a 96 and might be able to shed a little more light on what it came out of. Dont think the cobra ever used that intake.

Definitely a better option than the V6. Does it come with the computer and wiring harness? Gonna take a lot of extra pieces to make it run.

100% positive. They didn't start the 4.6 till 1996 in the mustang, mark viii had them earier but they arnt as stout as the cobra engine. The entire bottem end is cast, no forged parts. And the cam grinds are milder than the cobra. Think the compression ratio was different too but I can't remember...
