Burning smell after 100mph
I was on the highway, and I had to pass three tractor traliers to get to the lane i needed, and exactly as I hit 100 mph i smelled a burning smell (couldnt determine where it was coming from). After I went under 100 it went away. But the whole time it was over 100(for about 7 seconds), i went 105 at the max, i smelled the burning smell. Would it have to do with the engine breaking in still? Cause I have 1445 miles on it.
I smelled something foul one day while driving through downtown Phoenix (no, it wasn't downtown Phoenix that I was smelling) and it turns out I ran over a plastic bag that got caught under the car and melted. Yuck! It took forever to get the smell to go away.
Dang Janet!! I did the same thing not a month after I had the car. It did take forever for it to go away.
There is still a hot plastic smell that I smell from time to time. I drove my car hard to Charlotte a few weeks ago and noticed it when I stopped.
Did you smell the smell inside the car Jon? Just wondering because I have never smelled it inside the car, just when I stop.

I noticed that at excessive speeds (up to 115 is all i can vouch for) that after i slow down enough to get a whiff, i do smell a weird smell. I was thinkin maybe it was just the belt because ive noticed if i drive around at about 45mph in 2nd for a minute ill smell it too. who knows
