What's up TMS! I recently picked up a used BBK short ram for a v6 07. It was running for about 5 10 min then the check engine light came on (it never did that until I installed it). Checked the fluids and all it seems to be fine. Any ideas what it might be??

Thanks angel

did you disconnect the battery before you started? Also make sure you have a air tight connection on the engine side.

The only CAI I remember not needing a tune was the Airaid. The rest throw the CEL because of the MAF sensor going berserk with just the slightest bit more air. For instance when the cone separated from my intake, the car would choke and sputter to a halt within seconds. Tightened the cone right back on and the car was perfectly fine. Just my opinion..

Honestly, you're not gonna feel a difference without a tune. Might as well go all out and buy a JLT and get a 93 high performance tune
