aluminum driveshaft & safety loop

Hi all. I recently had installed a 4" aluminum driveshaft on my '06 4.0 auto
this was to combat my stock driveshaft that was vibrating like crzy after a rear end gear change

ok, so drivehaft is 4" Shaftmaster unit and I'm quite pleased with it

The safety loop is another issue. I got one from BMR and it seems its too tight around shaft so does not allow for any travel and as such causes rubbing / grinding. have tried (with tech) to adjust loop but still rubs.

what loop are you guys with aluminum shafts using? any tips appreciated.

No Tips...Questions

Why do you need a loop, are you supercharged?
Was everything marked during the gear swap and put back in the same place?
.
Did you try other orientations for the stock driveshaft before you gave up?
I am curious if one was better than another.

might want to give shaftmasters a call and see what they suggest going with for a loop. ive been putting this swap off for my u joints to get weak. i`m getting up in miles now so i imagine pretty soon i`ll do it. the loop is a good idea to have whether your sc or not after spending the cash on the shaft. good choice on the shaft, i might look into the 3.5" too.

is your loop 2 pc`s? could you put some spacers in it to open it up a little? just a idea

I have the CHE loop on my car and it clears the 4" Shaftmasters with no issues at all.
