Can someone tell me all that I would need to change out my v6 in an 06 to the new coyote 5.0 other than the obvious engine itself and tranny? Thanks

 

Well a engine, tranny, computer, possibly a new rear end, new speedo, a good tune, new exhuast, time and money to install. In the end it's not worth the price of the engine or tranny. As the engine goes for around 8k plus a 2-3k tranny. Plus the cost of labor.

 

I have been throwing this idea around as a junkyard near me has all of that (engine,harness,ecu,rear end,tranny) for 7500....

 

I thought going the junkyard route was supposed to be much cheaper. That doesn't seem like a great deal to me, however it does come with the tranny so it is marginally better

 

Kinda better off trading your v6 in and using that cash as a down payment on a 5.0.

 

that price doesnt sound that great, but it is alot of stuff so maybe fair. shute i have over 7500 in mods and i still have a n/a 4.0

 

Yea I wasnt too sure what a complete 5.0 drive train usually goes for. It seemed fairly reasonable considering all it came with
