Hi! yesterday i went to get some 255/50/17 tires installed on my mustang. When i came home, i did some reseach on the tire brand. They are high performance Hankook ST. And i did not know they were suv/truck tires. They are great tires for the price. $103 and w-speed rated from discount tire. Does it really make a difference if you buy SUV/truck tires compared to other car performance tires of that size. need some input...

thanks!

You have nothing to worry about, except for the fact that since it's intended for SUV's, it's a much heavier tire. It'll have heavier duty ply's.
Other than that it's a pretty good price for the tire.

They are the tire that I have, and I love them. No problems at all. The best advantage is that they protude out a little more than the stock 235s, giving your rims better curb protection.

I have the Toyo Proxes S/t 255/45/18 which are designed for a truck and they work great on the mustang. Plus they will not wear out as fast as regular car sport tires.
