The tires Iam looking at are the TS-1 245/55 zr16 the rim width tolorance is 7.0-7.5-8.5 for these tires so it should fit ok but I just want to make sure in the front it isnt going to rub anywhere with the offset the v6 has . If anyone has ever heard of anyone doing this it would help alot

A coworker (actually, my supervisor) has offered to sell me some 255/55/17 chrome rims. He said that they would work on the Mustang but I'm not too sure about the measurements. Plus, 2 of the rims have new semi-low profile tires on them. Can I put the semis on the front and regular tires on the rear to get a bit of a forward slant effect, or would it not really work? Plus, I'd be screwed if I got a flat tire unless I wanted to carry around 2 spares. I'm a newbie at being an autophile, so I'm still trying to pick up any pointers.
