ZEX NITROUS SYSTEM TESTED - VIDEO AND PICTURES
For all you nitrous lovers out there here are some photo's and video for you to check out compliments of BRENSPEED.COM
Running a Zex 100 shot of nitrous with 780 psi of bottle pressure we found the following results. This car was tuned by us with decreased timing and a very very safe 11.3 to 11.5 air fuel above 4,100 rpms and never went leaner than 11.7 below 4,100 rpms.
The install was also performed by us and we are very pleased with this system. Every last thing needed for the install was included. The only extra item we had to purchase was wire loom to make the install look factory.
We gained 73.17 rear wheel horsepower and 115.55 foot pounds of torque. These are impressive numbers considering we were running 120 psi less bottle pressure than ZEX uses when rating the shot at 100 horsepower.
I am including pictures of the install along with a link to the dyno video.
For those of you who are interested in this system we do sell it along with our SCT X-calibrator which we would program with our nitrous tunes. The Zex system will run around $588 plus the cost of our X-cal which is still $365 until next month.

Wow, I wouldnt say that that combo is entirely great considering the A/F and low PSI of the bottle. I would suggest the use of a bottle heater at the very least so you can stay above 900psi in the bottle and at least a 12.5 AF throughout the rpm.
At least you guys are turning the timing down but with my NX kit I havent bothered turning the timing back for the nitrous runs on the dyno or track. No signs of detonation as of yet with the good gas but detuning is definitely more safe.
Otherwise its a clean looking install but Zex is easy like that.
Show us some charts.

Thanks,
BRENSPEED,
...make a 1/2 thick billet oval plate w/a boss for the zex, stick that between the intake and TB, a couple of gaskets later...WAHLLAA...perfect spot for the nozzle, no need to drill a C&L, or a rubber boot. I know if I paid that money for the C&L, I wouldnt want to drill & tap it.
Looks better, cleaner... and I would rather have the fuel/nos mixture behind the TB, not in front...but what the heck do I know
just my $.02 worth.
u could send me a plate when done
