I have that one and I didn't really notice a difference in sound. Maybe a little in horsepower.

Ford used to claim 5-hp with a X-pipe, but I haven't seen that claim in a while. You're prol looking at 2-3 hp increase at redline with a change to a X-pipe. The sound is a little different than the stock H-pipe, which is why the post above confuses me??? I would say the sound is more noticeable than a 2-3 hp increase at 6k rpm.

Headers are definately worth it. You will just have to decide on full lengths or shorties and what brand you will want. I have had shorties on 07 gt and switched them out for pypes full length. I have a set of shorties that i need to get rid of with a catless x pipe if you are interested.

Ya i thought my passenger side shorty header was cracked so i decided to buy pypes long tube headers. It turns out that when ford had to rebuild my motor they didnt put 2 of the bottom header bolts back in so it was leaking like crazy.
