Yes, the wife and I are going. Will be our 4th year to attend. Great show.

We are heading in from southern Arkansas, where are you coming in from?

Buddy of mine & his wife are going. They weren't planning on it until they bought a 64 1/2 convertible on ebay the other day and it's in MO! And I thought I was the stangnut!

I got the same question for you as I just put in the other WFC threads. (That search thing sure is handy.) Is it worth the admission price? I live only 30 minutes from the track, but the $75 for my family to get in kinda turns me off. Then I gotta buy food and get toys for my car, too! That's an expensive day. Can I expect to see manufacturers of Cobra replicas there? That's something I'm currently into. How about aftermarket parts for the 05+? I've attented some pretty awesome Mustang car shows before without so much as paying for parking. What makes this show worthwhile for a non-participant? I just want to see the cars, take pictures, and maybe get a present for my 05. Tickets shouldn't be so high for just looking around. My local Ford dealer didn't even know the event was taking place, so discount coupons were out of the question. What ya think?

You might want to check the weather before you drive up here as the forecast is for rain all three days. I am almost sure it will be a wash out By the way it is cash only no credit cards. Not sure if you knew that.

Almost sure? The news and weather.com say scattered showers Fri. morning, Sat. evening, maybe possible Sun. I wouldn't call that a wash out. I would think that an event of this size would be held whatever the weather. There is just so much planning that goes into a four-day event that you can't reschedule, and everyone stands to lose if it's cancelled. You know the weather in St. Louis. It could downpour on the Arch and be sunny at the track. Thanks for the cash only tip, though. Have you been before? I was really hoping to see some Cobra kit manufacturers and some aftermarket parts for the 05+ Mustangs. No one has really said if it was worth the high admission price or not?

Hey, I just noticed that Stangnut, Mongoose, and I joined the forum on the same day! What are the chances of that?

The weather here in ST Louis is currently sunny however that could change in a flash. You cannot run a race on a wet track and that is what this meet is all about. Yes, there is a car show as well as a venders row but who is willing to pay 25-50 bucks for that? Not I
I hope the weather holds up but forecast now is for rain Sunday. Like I said bring cash as credit card are no good at this track. Venders may take CCards.
Yea how about us signing up the same day. I am in Florissant. What is your location? Am a member of the Show Me. Are you?

I thought I answered this post hours ago, but now I can't find my post. Huh. So you don't think it's worth the admission if racing is not my primary interest? I mean it certainly is a bonus, and I am sure I will enjoy it, but I'm really looking forward to the car show, the vendors, and hopefully some Cobra replicas. It is good to see the rain chances reduced for tomorrow.
Florissant? I used to spend a lot of time there. I'm across the river near Bethalto, north of Edwardsville. I used to be a member of the Southern Illinois Mustang Association, but the club was actually rather boring and not all that friendly. I mean, decent people, but not what I was looking for. They'd look at you like some kind of blasphemer if you dared to modify what Ford created. I never felt like I fit in. I am already checking into Mustange clubs in the Denver area, as I am moving there sometime this summer.

Well now I feel left out... sort-of. I've never even been to MO... however, I served a few years on the USS Jefferson City, SSN 759 (fast attack subamarine), Does that count for anything?

I took this pic pulling out of Singapore.

Went to WFC9 today. Totally cool. I've actually never been to a drag race before! My wife even kinda like it, and they didn't charge me for my kid to get in! I didn't buy a lot, and the food was rediculously high, but I had a great time. Unfortunately, several times we went over just to watch the races, they had to take a break because it was sprinkling. No big rain, just some drizzle. The car show was great, and many of the '05 stangs from SEMA were there.
