Window Clunk mid-lower, lots of wind noise - Misalignment? Broken Window Track?

Hoping somebody might have had a similar experience before I start tearing open the door tomorrow to do exploratory surgery.

Everytime I roll down the driver's side window there is a noticeable clunk about half way down. It doesn't stop the window, but it wasn't there before and it's clearly not "right". Also, there is quite a bit more wind noise, especially at speed, from that window than there used to be. The clunk seems to be coming from the rear of the door/window track and the extra wind noise is also coming from the lower rear area of the window. All of this seems to indicate to me that something is out of alignment and/or broken in the window track. Has anybody had this happen and do you recall what the fix was?

Thanks,

JZ

Yes, I had the exact same issue. By the time I took it to the dealer to have it fixed under warranty, the window had put itself back into alignment and now it's just a very mild creak. They could not reproduce the clunk, and neither could I. But I made them promise to replace any burnt out motors or anything that gets worn in the future from the window still being misaligned...

If you still have bumper to bumper, I would take it in.

I've got about another 1,000 on the warranty so i guess i should get it in quick. Hope mine doesn't correct itself before i get it in. That's frustrating and you'll know it'll come back the day after you expire the warranty.
