Will 275/40-18 Nitto NT-01s fit on 18" OEM rims?

I am looking at purchasing some used Nitto NT-01 275/40-18 for autocross use.

I have a tuner to adjust tire size. Will they fit on theses?

what is the rim width? You should have at least an 18 x 9 to run that size safely. That's what I run on my AR Razors that are 18 x 9.

+1 on the 9 " rim minimum safe width. 8" rim is too narrow. Go to Nitto's website and they will have minimum and maximum rim width listed for all their tires.

My street size 18 x9.5 w/275 x40 on all 4. I didnt use a tuner; They're 1.9% smaller than the factory 17".

People are running Kumho V710s 275/40-17 on 17x8 stock bullets. Why not 275/40-18 on a 18x8.5 stock fanblades?

Not all tires are created equal. The Nitto website has 9in listed as the min for that tire.

This is what Nitto says. They make the tires...I'd listen to them. I know this is for the Nitto555 tire but...

Sure they will fit, but performance won't be optimal. If you're getting a good price for the tires, go for it. Why not look for some inexpensive and lighter 18x9-9.5 wheels?

I have to stick to 18x8.5" to remain in F-stock class for SCCA.

Right, you do for F stock. I forget there are some stock mustangs out there.

I am looking at Tokico D-specs, NT-01s(until I have the cash for V710s), and crash bolts(-1 camber). I could care less about exhaust and Fr. Sway Bars. I did take the Evolution Racing School. Other than the driver, they said that the tires would make the biggest time improvement.

Reverend, also forgot to mention that Sam Strano runs 285/30/18 on his Shelby GT in F-stock and is doing quite well. May want to give him a call for his feedback since he is the expert. http://www.stranoparts.com/
