Why doesn't FRPP include an adjustable panhard bar with their handling pack ?

I would say 1/2" offset is worthy of correction.

I agree completely. But it didn't shift over 1/2" because he lowered it 1 1/2 inches. The geometry of the panhard bar simply CAN'T move the axle that much! If it's that far out after lowering it, then it was almost that far out BEFORE it was lowered. As for the statements about the CHE bar feeling better due to stiffer bushings, I don't doubt that at all either. I also wouldn't doubt that the interior noise is a bit louder and the suspension feels a bit harsher (notice the "bit" please!). But I bet it DOES do a much better job keeping the axle where it should be.

Hey John. how is the Spohn adj. PHB working out? How is the quality of it? I have been looking around for an adj. PHB and Spohn has a pretty good price.

I have the Steeda Ultralite Springs and have developed ~3/8" axle offset to the outside of the car. At initial spring/shock/strut install it wasn't that much. Thus, I have a CrMoly Spohn w/bushings in Black sitting in my family room awaiting installation. Maybe this weekend....

No, if they lower the car the body will be off center for certain, but it's not that big of a deal. If you want things centered and close to perfect then the bar is necessary.

Hey John,

Here's the J&M products adjustable PHB. I saw it on LMP's performance website for $114.50 shipped.

Although it's $10.50 cheaper than the Spohn adj. PHB. I actually prefer the Spohn over the J&M

After speaking with Steeda Gus, It appears Steeda does not offer a non adjustable PHB for their Ultralight, or Sport springs. But instead, they include a PHB brace, in addition to their adjustable PHB.

At any rate: my apologies, for my prior post.

I can't get that pic to enlarge, but one thing to take notice of is the location of where you make the adjustment. Make sure that the adjuster bolt is in an easy to access location w/ the rod on the car. I can get a wrench on the Spohn nut and make the adjustments very easily, and it's easy to access w/ Loctite too.

Did you try selecting "click to view larger image" on the webpage ? if that doesn't help, go to the suspension link on your left, then select "panhard rods" and then you'll see the J&M PHB located in the list. Look for part # 0018749, and then select it. You should then be able to enlarge the pic, by selecting the "click to view larger image link".

In the meantime, I'm going to be purchasing the Spohn adj. PHB. IMO your just not going to find a higher quality product, for less than $125.00 shipped.

Am I missing something? because I don't recall you posting which PHB you're referring to, as not being adjustable.

So which PHB is made to work with FRPP springs, that's non-adjustable

I agree the lowering and panhard contribution would not be anywhere near 1/2" offset increase. Something else going on there.

Pro's - Stronger Steel, lighter weight. Con's - More Money.

Check out the Spohn Adjustable Panhard Bar. I got the chromoly double bushing style for $145 shipped from LM Performance with a web forum discount. I just installed it today. Great workmanship/quality and easy install with good instructions.

The rear was offset 3/8 of an inch before lowering the car, I have lowered 4 GT's and 3 V6's and all of them were offset anywhere from 1/8 - 1/2 of an inch after lowered.

I only had to move the rear 1/4“ to get it centered, one side measured 7 ½” and the passengers side measured 8” now it measures 7 ¾” on both sides. I measured from fixed points on the chassis to the outside of the rotor then measured from the center of the wheel to a level on the outside of the fender to double check the measurements.
