Basically, when you want to use it you just flip a switch inside the cabin to enable it, and then when you hit WOT it goes, right? Is it that simple, or is there more to "arming" the system?
This is a step by step of what I will be doing to activate my completed nitrous system (not manufacturer dependant).

The electric bottle blanket will be automatic with the ignition of the car.

Flip the master arming switch for both the remote bottle opener and solenoid (I'll have both of these wired into the same switch), flip the switch to purge the lines and hit the gas and Im gone.

I would too! You can only imagine how the idea has been racing through my mind all freaking day. You don't think I wasn't calling everyone I know to educate myself, do you? Just fantasizing about going that fast. My times with my current mods will only get better. I have some suspension issues right now. I need to change my pinion angle for starts. I have a few things here, but yet to install as well as some things on order. Okay, I'll tell you... Moser race axles, QA1 shocks, Meziere electric water pump, water temp and oil psi gauges, Bogart D-10--F 3.5"x15"/R 10"x15" wheels. Once the wheels get here, I'll be going to a 28x10-15" M/T ET Drag slicks! I also have 2 custom tunes emailed to me for my mods as well as the custom tune I already have. I will be playing around with my new XCal2/Pro racer's package, and will be datalogging with the Innovate wideband. Things can only get better or broken.
Sounds like he'll have one of the best times on here with those planned mods and nitrous!

I still don't know about the nitrous yet. I want to see what I can do N/A still. I need to improve my driving skills as well before I go spraying.

Hi there. I'm new to this forum. I'm looking to get slicks for my '05 too, and I wasn't sure if 15" wheels would clear the brake calipers. Have you modified your brakes? Or will 15s clear OK?

Thanks.

Hey Don, Welcome to the forums! I've talked with you over at Mustangforums.com (as if you didn't know). It's pretty much a custom wheel that Bogart made for Justin Burcham-JPC Racing. They have had quite a bit of demand for them and quite a few people have ordered them. There are a few shops that I've heard that are ordering them. If you call Bogart, they pretty much would refer you to JPC. To answer your question, no, I haven't done anything to the rotors or calipers. You can sort of see the wheels here.

His website is http://jpcracing.com/
He has 28x11.5-15" on the back and a 4.5x15" in the front.
He did mention that something will need to be cut off. He said it looked like a hook, but wouldn't hurt anything to cut it off. I don't mind doing so. He just said to have a sawzall ready. I installed my QA1's tonight in the rear, but didn't see what he was talking about. He said to fit the wheel on and it would be obvious.

Thanks for the info, 169stang. It must be late... I didn't make the connection on the name from MustangForums.

BTW... what wheels/tires are you running now at the track?

I currently have stock up front, and I bought a set of 17x9 bullitts from
here. http://mustangracing.com/ Mounted 26x11.5-17 M/T ET Street DR. I've already had a set of the non-radials, but they only lasted 3 months (roughly 70-90 passes). I only put them on for the track. I did install bead screws due to the tire spinning about an inch every pass. It was probably excessive, but I just didn't want to take a chance of running the tire off of the wheel. You can see how the tires line up with the wheel wells here: you'll have to scroll down to see all of the pics.

what is purging? I have heard that you can tell if someone has nitrous because you can hear/see them purge prior to using it.
The nitrous is cold when it comes out of the tank. When it sits in the lines it warms up and doesn't give you as much power as fresh nitrous. So when you purge you're just blowing out the warm stuff and refilling with cold stuff so you get a little more power at the beginning, you don't have to do it, but it makes a difference.

For some reason, I thought it was a safety issue or something like that. I always wondered why in the world the outlaw cars/no times, would purge at the staging lights. The outlaw cars usually are running for money everytime they're at the track. Besides, they usually have hefty side bets going on. You'll never see them open their hoods or hear about what they run. Why show them the purge? The outlaw class is the best to watch because you never know what's going to happen. Most accidents happen with this class. There's nothing like a sleeper car that looks like it weighs 5000lbs run a 9.9 1/4 mile! When you see a crowd of people standing in the staging lanes jumping up and down when the other car wrecks, you know they've got some serious money on the line!
