If I can drop the motor, improve clearance and reduce weight what's not to like? I'm sure it will add some noise but the nature of the beast is to get one thing you'll give up another.

When you start messing with the suspension you are going to get trade-offs. It all depends on what you want to do with your car. You will probably never achieve ride, handling, stance without giving up some NVH. What you are willing to tolerate is subjective. If you check my mods I have done quite abit for a street car and yes I have NVH. I don't mind because I would rather have the performance and handling and it's not a daily driver.

No I completely understand that modding a car is a trade off; I mean that is just the way it is.... I just wanted to know how much more NVH there is...

Mine is a DD but I would rather it handle better IMO

Call Sam Strano. He will give you the low down on what would be best for what you want to do. He sells just about everything that you would need to have a well handling car. One thing that I would do differently is buy a Fays2 Watt's link instead of the Techco other than that I'm pretty happy with my suspension based on my use and driving style.

That's great advice rich, going straight to a K-Member can include the motor mounts (if you buy it that way). This saves you the intermediate step of just buying the motor mounts. Than later having to sell them later. I did some research on getting the BMR K-menber and I read that if you have JBA shorty headers (Like me) that there a good chance that they would make contact with the BMR K-Member. n fact I think I read that on BMR web site. That put a hold on my plans for that install. With LT maybe there's more clearance?

I have the lowered version on the Prothane MM. I bought them through JDM>. It lowered the motor a half inch. I like the solid feel, on acceleration any past engine side to side movement is gone. Some people w/ shaker hoods miss that torque twist. On start up for me is the only time I notice a pulse of vibration is through the shifter but I like that feeling actually. You get use to it real quick to the point its no longer a big deal. I driven in a car with the same mounts that had an automatic with a V6 and I didn't like the vibration in the cab. Leo has a V8 and an automatic and I didn't notice that issue with his car.

Every time you remove stock "rubber" parts and replace them with urethane, you will have more nvh; theres no getting around it.

IMO, What is too much nvh is a pesonal thing and you'll need to gauge the added road feel for yourself.

I just wanna know what the advantage to the K-member are besides the weight reduction? See if I went w/ the lowered Motor mounts I am afraid that there may be issues with clearance of the LT's so I would want to go w/ the stock ride height....

Sam will help you make good decisions based on what you want to do with your car. He won't give you wrong information just to make a sale. Maybe you don't need a K-member.

If you wanna do it right, call Sam. I called him and was ready to drop $650 on a Watt's link that I was sure would solve my problem with the back end, instead after talking to him for a while he sold me a $150 pair of shocks that worked perfectly to do what I wanted, and improved the ride to rest of the ride to boot.

The man gave up $500 in sales to get me what works right for what I wanted to do. Talk to him, and he won't steer you wrong.

That's the number for ordering, as it's toll free he pays a fee for calls received. If you plan on talking to him and buying something from him, that's probably not a bad number. If you're calling just to talk, get ideas, and weigh your options for now, use this number (814) 849-3417.

Not a problem. After the relatively short time I've spent talking to Sam (and reading his posts) I have a great deal of respect for the man and am happy to be a customer of his. Also glad to help send people his way for advice as he knows what he's talking about. He's also mentioned in the past that not everything he carries (or can get) is (or at least wasn't at the time) listed on his site. So don't necessarily rule him out if you think of things and don't see them listed.

IMHO the k-member is an awesome thing to put on and the price isnt too bad. But if you keep the stock lower control arms think twice. I personally would buy the k-member and lower control amrs with urathane bushings.

Should stiffen up the front end quite a bit, reduce weight and you can get the k-member with motor mounts already on it that drop the engine 1/2 inch. Now if I could find a radiator support that has the front sway bar mounts on it that would be sweet.

But as my budget allows, my next mods right now will be uca right away then koni yellow shocks and sway bars. I just need to find a set of springs that work with what I want to do. I dont want to drop the front at all, the rear drop would be max 1/2 inch. I dont want necesarily harder springs, as I feel the spring rate of the stockers is nice, but slightly harder would not be bad.

In any case, give sam a call.

Have you not have seen the Steeda radiator support as it does have provisions for mounting the sway bar (p/n 555-5075).
