Wheels for SCCA F-stock solo2 competition?
Dunno if this question has been asked before. I did search and looked at quite a few older posts but didn't see any answers to my questions or requirements.
According to the rules for my class, I can run stock sized wheels or even factory option sized wheels ie 18" fanblades or late available 18" bullits. I can even run aftermarket wheels as well as long as they conform to the stock specs size wise (height, width, offset).
From what I gather the stock and optioned wheels are 17"x8" and 18"x8" both with +45 offset? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I see the weight of the stock 17" wheels listed at 25lbs on the Ford racing parts site.
What I'd like to know, is there a wheel that is stock specs or optioned specs size wise that weighs less? They can be cast, forged, etc. I'd like to know any and all options.
TIA
Anton

check the stock rim weight thread..actually the stock 17x8's are around 22-23lbs. fordracing is wrong. if it was right the tire/rim combo would weigh 53lbs. people have weighed it to be between 49-51lbs. check tirerack.they yave the stockers weighing in at 21.something and the stock pirellis weighing in at 28 making around 49-50lbs.
