I noticed that I have to turn my steering wheel slightly to the right (perhaps 2 degrees) when travelling straight at low speeds, at higher speeds I don't seem to notice it as much.

Is that an indication of having my front wheel alignment off?

It might have happened when I accidently bumbed my wheel on a curb. Gotta watch those evil curbs !!

best bet is to just drop the $69.95 on an alignment (some shops doe the inspection for free). $70 for an alignment is better than $250 (depending on your size/brand) for new front tires.

It could also be the pitch in the road. Certain roads that I drive on daily cause my steering to be slightly shifted to either side. I also notice a lot of movement on less-than-perfect pavement, i.e. I'll be in the "groove" and if I drift either way my car will jump.

$70? Wow, that's a little pricey. Around here it's $50 for a car/truck with a solid rear axle.

Yes, a lot of roads are pitched which may require one to hold the steering wheel slightly off center in order to go straight.

That's why I don't know if it's an alignment problem - it might actually be normal.

could be off a tad. slower speeds is harder to judge it tho. The crown of the road has some effect.
Mine was off a tad from the factory/dealer.
We charge 69.95, as I think thats the average here. Which covers 4 wheel alignments also.
