90 and it was by accident, thought I was doing about 70. The roads in connecticut are too twisty and too full of traffic to do anything crazy. Plus i am a bit afraid of the state police, as who knows where the heck they are hiding. There is one stretch of highway by my house that is straight, and I know there won;t be any cops, but even at 2am, there are still too many cars around :bang: :bang:

You people act like 130 is something spectacular... I do 130 at least once a week and 100+ at least 10 times a day when I'm working. Kinda hard to get a ticket when you're the one issuing them Back in the summer I got a guy on the highway at 103 well after he got on the brakes because I didn't have the radar remote in my hand when I saw him. We talked about his newly modded Sonic Blue toy for a few minutes and he was on his way... he was shaking and studdering when I first walked up to his window, then had a WTF? look on his face when I told him he wasn't getting a ticket unless he really wanted one. I am usually nice all pony/muscle car drivers... A couple have talked themselves into tickets before I even had a chance to say anything though.
BTW... used to run the '03 V6 at 115 when I was alone for my 280 mile 1 way trip back home when I was working downstate.... 3am usually means you're the only vehicle on the road for most of that trip.

Wow Fazm, you got it to roughly ~140 in 5th gear.
I haven't really stretched the legs in mine. Most I've had it is to about 125 in 5th. I was running about 3700 rpms in 5th.
The fact that my tires are rated to 118 or so makes me iffy to go much more past than what I've gone. I don't doubt hitting well over 4k in 5th, as it still had some good pull where I was at.
-I found a calc, and with our ratios with 3.31's, you had to be going ~140 as well if you maxed out 4th gear. Assuming 6k @4th

seein as i hit 111 in the 1/4, i tend to get in the 100-120 range A LOT on accident, no less.
highest was ~158 (friend ridin shotty kept pressin the restart button on the ave spd option, highest he saw was 155, and i went another second or two after that)
still had plenty of throttle left, tho i could feel the car ready to start floatin around if i would of hit 160.
even with 4.30s, rpms were still below redline in 5th gear at that speed, tho not by much.
if i had coilovers, body kit, fat sticky tires, and access to an oval track (lot to ask for i know), i bet i could top at 170...heck the vortech company car hit 192 IIRC!
edit: hood was shaking, and car wanted to float even with its huge drop, dont plan on doin it again any time soon

155+ twice, first time was with a vette pacing me, thats how I found out how fast we were going, the vette read 155 and second a friend in his BMW again that was the reading in the BMW (also had a friend in his Mach 1 right with us), no problems at all with the car, felt real smooth and felt like it still had more to give, didnt feel like there was any restraint at all, the hood rattled a bit but not bad. This car will easily hit 120-130 before you know it and it doesnt feel like your going that fast, Ive done that a couple times without even realizing I was going that fast, and for the record one of those times there was an 05 V6 that was right behind me at 130 and it was hanging with me nicely, even though I wasnt hammering the throttle , when I did I was able to easily pull away.

one thirty five ( I have no three key! LOL) once, playing with a Viper on PCH, only 1/4... its all the clear road we had in the middle of a weekday. one thirty several times, all on PCH, all at about 2-three am, well lit, clear empty roads for about 2-three miles. I gotta admit, after watching the gas needle literally drop as my speedo rose, I cant afford it anymore!
No hood shake at all, no floating, no wheel vibration, in fact, felt fantastic... if I wasnt peeing my pants the entire time, I would have enjoyed it more! Plus, I only tapped those numbers.... I was too afraid of a hidden CHP, pothole, rodent, stray, etc..
I think it wouid be so much more fun on a closed course... controlled, then all I gotta worry about is my driving! So, I have made a promise to myself, no more stretching her legs past whats legal til she's paid off and hubby lets me go to the track. Weeellllll... ok, more like nothing above 95 on the fwy,

Believe me you don't ever want to get caught over 100mph, almost 3 years later and it still causes issues with work and insurance. Cost quite a bit to stay out of jail(had all 30 days suspended), especially in Northern Va where they are crazy strict about it. It sucks! I wasn't even caught on radar, but at 140+ its pretty obvious I was over 90mph(charge was reckless in excess of 90). Believe it or not, I saw the lights WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYy in the distance and WAITED about 2 minutes for them to catch up to where I stopped.
But I've only had the little V6 up to about 110 or so, I believe the rev limiter is set to 117mph or something, still got there easiilly. The way all the new cars are set up, it seems they all tend to 'naturally' end up at 70mph or so, you really have to babysit the speedo on the highway.

Since I don't have a tune, I couldn't get it up any faster than the limiter would let me go. I think I hit about 148 on the way back from Detroit in the middle of the night.
Took me a while to get from 130 up to top speed once I shifted into 5th.

There are old pilots,
and there are bold pilots,
but there are very few old bold pilots.
On the Bear River Flats, I hit 84 MPH to check for wheel balance, etc.
It sure feels good at that speed and that is as fast as I have gone.
