Whats a good clutch?
TOB is getting a little noisy and I'm going to replace it soon. Figured it might be a good idea to upgrade the clutch at the same time. Any suggestions?

I've had the Exedy 500 for year or so now and I like it a lot. Good grip and not a lot more pedal pressure than stock ...

Thanks for the input guys. I think I'll probably go with the exedy 400 from AM. It was either that or one from AZ and the difference is only like $80...

PLEASE do not get an AutoZone clutch. Depending on your driving style, it probably wouldn't last too long anyway. Also, if you're going to pay someone to change it for you, just pay the price once and get a good clutch. I've had customers who drive hard and wanted to save money with an AZ clutch and 500 miles later they were back for a new one.
Spec is pretty good.

Yea I hate having to buy things like this. There's absolutely no way of knowing how it's gonna feel and perform without buying it. I'm not pushing serious hp or anything so I might just get a stock kit for now and upgrade the pressure plate and disk later...

If the cost involvement is not too much of a difference, you may want to reconsider the stock clutch......

To be fair, this is after about two years with the blower on, and 7 years total, about 30K. But, if you are going to pay for the install anyway........
Just sayin.......![Wink](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

I went with the Exedy Mach 600. It's working well, but a little too tough to modulate engagement for everyday street driving.

The Exedy 500 is a heavier pedal than stock. I can only imagine what the 600 is like.....
That said, so far I really like the Exedy clutch. So much nicer than stock....

Lol yea that'll do it. After the cams I kinda had to re learn how to drive... And thusly rode the clutch... So now that I've gotten it figured out I think it's time for a replacement

It took me exactly 2 burn-outs and passes with my DR's to smoke my stock clutch... which survived just fine for 2.5 years on street tires.
