Leo's car definetely impressed me! Only thing I can see that Leo may not like about it is it takes a second or two for the Auto trans to kick down and take the engine into boost range. And like Leo mentioned, after just a few short seconds of boost, you're already wayyy too fast on the street.

But all this was to be expected as all centri buyers know that our setup doesn't develop boost off idle.

Leo, you have an awesome setup now, enjoy it.

The upside to the auto is the torque multiplication effect of the convertor as well.

Some of that can be managed and or tuned away. But, it's something you get used to pretty quckly. And the notion of going too fast after a few seconds of boost is the goal, isn't it? I know that my car will go from about 20mph to 90mph in about 3 to 4 seconds. Seriously...

But what it does on the track is the important thing... not what it does on the street.

I was just going to say that you should try a different tune for the trans Leo, but looks like Don mentioned it. And get some gears....... 4.10s are my preference but 3.73s would help.

As far as the tune, give RET a try.

 

He already has gear.

Leo loaded Adam's race tune, and that's the one that was loaded when I went for that test drive.

I think it ran hard, bouncing off the rev limiter in a couple gears. Leo may have set his mental bar too high. He should jump in Brian's or Jed's car for a test drive, then he'll realize his is right up there in power with theirs.

 

Just so were all on the same page here....

Adam gave me three tunes 91 "Conservative", 91 "Aggressive", and 100 track tune.

I'm currently running the 91 aggressive. I don't see myself trying the 100 octane tune anytime soon.

Bill-I've got no doubts that I'm up there with Jed and Brian as far as power or speed is concerned it's just that their car's feel faster IMO. Don't know for sure about Jed's since I've never ridden with him but I have with Brian.

 

I'll guess you'll put that issue to bed once you get on the line against Brian.
