Hehehehe the post ***** disappears for a day and everyone's worried.

Tomorrow's morning's the pick-up date. I can't wait. I'll make sure to post my opinion once I drive it. A twin screw would be nice but I got a killer deal on the Vortech. Plus I'm sure I'll be very happy with an extra 100+ hp. Funny how everyone voted for the SC they have.

So I guess some of you want to know what I think.

Well here it goes.....Do I feel a difference? Yes. Was it as good as I expected? No. Maybe my expectations were to high. I think the main reason for my disapointment is because the boost kicks in so late that after only a couple of seconds you have to back off the throttle. This is were I think I should've gotten a twin screw. With that said Bill rode in my car and said he was impressed. Wether or not that's true only he can say. So there you have it.

I have no doubts it's faster and the time slips will show that. It's just I expected more seat of the pants feel than I got. Do I regret it? No not really.

Leo, as I have the same Vortech V-2, I understand how you would have expected more seat of the pants feel. The Vortech (and most other centrifugals, I trust) make less torque than hp, whereas the twin screw blowers make more torque than hp. As the big torque down low in a twin screw gives that seat of the pants impression of a explosive acceleration, the twin screw blowers do feel faster than the centri's which build boost & power as the rpm's climb.

But, you are correct that your car is faster, even if it doesn't feel faster. Your timeslips will show it. I improved a full second in the 1/4 mile with the blower install, and mine is a super basic, non-cooled blower. Also, I noticed on the street that roads I've driven forever suddenly end much sooner and my brakes don't slow me down like I remember now that I have 111 rwhp more than when my car was stock, so I know my car is faster even though I don't feel it.

Doesn't help that your an auto also. Least us manual cars are able to control where the car is at RPM wise at all times. Helps get us into boost
