What next for a better sound?

Hey guys I need some suggestions from some of yall, I just put on Flowmaster 40 series on my 06 GT and it sounds great at low RPMs real low and deep but when I rev it up the sound of the flowmasters decreases, so what should I do to give my car that loud "throaty" sound up in the high RPMs? Like headers (short or long) or a pipe, X or H (but it has to have CATS on it, dads rule)

+1 on long tubes. That's pretty much the only way to get an increase in sound level without removing the cats with your mufflers.

Another option is to just get different mufflers that are louder and sell your FM 40's.

get rid of the flowstoppers...they suck for 05+ models. Go with stingers, bbk longtube headers, and a good h pipe with high flow cats

I like the sound of flowmasters on the 05/06 GTs reminds me of the stock tone, but louder.

I had flows with o/r H-pype, sounded great, then got FRPP mufflers with pype, sounded it deeper but not quite as loud (or maybe not as high pitched). I preferred the deeper sound so stayed with frpp.

But I liked my flow alot.

The flowmasters definitely are kind of quiet inside the car when you are driving. However, from the outside they sound awesome!!!
