I dont know if the Steeda Lca's magnified an already existing problem or not, but I have a mechanical clunking at very low speed ( 1to 3 milks per hr). Especial;ly when backing out of my driveway onto a different level of pavement, or going over small bumps, especially in a turn. I have already checked a bunch of stuff and it is starting t0o drive me nuts!!!
Does anyone have any ideas???
Thanks, Dave

I seem to remember someone here (Can't remember who) having Steeda LCA's and there was a problem with some of their bushings, to the point of failure...You might start there. Hope you figure it out Dave.

If they are brand new...check the torque on them. If they're old, pull them off and look to see if the bushings are split.

Yes, they are adjustable. Yes, I greased it. I checked it for tightness and it was still torqued to my original setting of 80 lbs.

I would love to know who that is you are talking about so I could ask a few questions.
I had bought these used from a forum member. when I went install them, I realized the bushing was cracked...I contacted Steeda and they sent me knew bushings. They told me the cracking happens because people are using the grease fittings. They told me to just coat with grease while i am putting the bushings in the ends and NEVER grease it again, especially thru the fittings.
