What Midpipe with magnapaks?
I have magnapaks on my 03 cobra and any midpipe other than the magnaflow x or mrt-h sounds terrible. i want to go offroad with the 05 but was wondering if any of you with magnapaks might have suggesstions for midpipe choices... thanks
Eric - I have the magnpaks with stock H pipe and I think they sound GREAT!
Bryan (2005RedGT) had the magnapaks with the bassani x- pipe and concluded that it was too loud. He went to Magnaflows and the x-pipe.
If you are wondering what the Magnapaks sound like on the 05 do a search. I have a video floating around somewhere.

I'm a little unclear, do you already have magnapacks on your 05? I do and they are pretty loud. I think with a x-pipe it would be extremely loud. With that said it would probably sound good but the volume would probably be too much. As Jason said if you are going to get an aftermarket midpipe and like the sound of magnaflows, you may want to go with the standard ones, not the magnapacks.
Oh, and I suggest taking your time in deciding, and research heavily. Get as many good quality videos as you can. You may just like the sound of Magnapacks of SLP loudmouths alone. As I have been posting, the Magnapacks have some drone at about 2000 RPM, but I must say that over time I'm getting used to it and I'm liking them more and more every day.

I think you should go with a Magnaflow catted X.
Prochambers do sound great with the 'Packs, but it may be too loud if your car is a daily driver.
The general rule of thumb that I would follow is if you are running a normal style muffler (Magnaflow, Bassani, JBA) then off road pipes are great, but if you use a glasspack, resonator, or straight pipes (Magnapacks, Loudmouths) then you should keep cats on there, unless you crave an ear piercing sound.
