What does engine knocking sound like?

9 is not my lucky number.

I made the switch to 93 octane and did the diablo tune while I was filling up. As I pulled out of the station there was this awful rattling sound comming from the engine. I immediately pulled over and reflashed to 91 octane and still had some mild knocking but not bad so I pulled over again and flashed to 87 and it went away.
Then it hits me like a ton of bricks that when I filled up I only put 13 gallons in so there was 3 gallons of 87 in there, PLUS I didn't let the gas lines bleed out of the 87, duh.
I think I'll burn through half a tank tomorrow and fill it up again and try the 93 tune again.

Run the 91 tune for the first tank of 93 gas you put in. Then flash to the 93 when you run out most of the tank you just put in and refill to 93 again.
This way everything gets good and flushed.
I just wouldn't push it hard until your on your second tank.
Your other would be do as you say run the tank half down the way you are but don't flash to 93 just 91 until that is gone. Then 93 when you refill.
