If I'm rolling with the car in gear and I press the clutch in, 5 times out of 10 I hear a clunk from the tranny/differential area. That normal? It never clunks any other time, only when I take the car out of gear.

Dustin, does the car shift at all? I don't see a clunk as normal by just pressing in the clutch. It's one of those, need to see or hear, to know things.

It shifts fine, no issues. Just sometimes when I hit the clutch I hear this clunk noise. If I do it when I'm in first gear, like driving around a parking lot and push the clutch in it is really loud. Most of the time it is suttle.

Also search " transmission noise"

Its the type of tranny that is making the noise.
If it bothers you that much take her in. Wont cost ya, just your time.

I have 10,000km and has been doing it since i got her last March.

I had that exact same issue. I would get that clunking noise when I was pulling into, or leaving, my apartments. Only in 1st gear after a slow acceleration to about 2000rpms, put in the clutch and CLUNK!

I still don't know what it was, but I haven't heard it in a while.

Yeah, my car has been doing that since I got it too. My mom noticed it right away, but as I was new to manual transmission I couldn't decipher it from other noises. Now that I have my Flows and O/R pipe on I can't hear anything.

Yeah, you might have trouble with the neighbors then. You'll be speeding at 4mph if you touch the Go pedal at all.
