Wester Motorsports C A I and after market hoods

Thought I would give you guys a heads up . I bought a WMS intake system , for my ride . I have a California dreamin hood . Lets just say it was a bolt in and go deal . I had to modify the new over flow tank bracket , that comes with the kit . It was aboe three quarters of and inch to tall , and a few other small mods . Thought I would let people know that if your car doesnt have a stock hood , to cheak carefully bout the fitment before you buy .

What else did you have to modify? And I assume you meant "it was NOT a bolt and go deal"...

What did you do to the underside of your hood?

as of yet

I havent modified the underside of the hood , still trying to figure the best way to do that . I want to open it up , but dont want to weaken the hood bracing , or open it directly above the filter . I dont want water getting in the filter .
After shorting the tank bracket a half inch as well as the lower tank support , it all went pretty smooth . The reason I had to lower the over flow tank , was it was hitting the hood and I didnt want issuses later from it rubbing
Also consider duct work from the underside of the car up to the ram air plate I bought from WMS this looks to be a simple way to go for additional cold air , and looks fairly simple

I have the WMS intake and a stock hood and the fit was just about perfect. I say just about because the top right of the air filter does touch the padding on the underside of the hood. I don't think it restricts the air flow too much...espcecially judging from the tire patches I've been leaving since the installation!
