warranty issues..

I have a 06 that so far only has cai / tune and axle back ... When I go to the dealership I put it back stock, and never have a probelm. My question is if I install a stall convertor and gears what are my chances that my powertrain warranty is voided?

The warranty will be voided on the direct parts you replace and any other parts that they directly effect. If you replace gears then all it should affect is the ring and pinion and probably all the bearings in the rear diff. On the other hand if you replace the torque convertor with the stall convertor you will very likely void the warranty on the whole transmission asy unless you have someone at the dealership working in your favor or who is blind and doesnt relize the mods are there... I have seen it first hand.

Technician gets first say so really. Service Manager could say other wise but most good service managers back their technicians opinion. I suggest talking to your dealership first if you are really concerned with your warranty.

Hey Blake, sorry for OT, but what can you tell me about a PIT test?
