Should work great! Are you planning on taking your car to a track, or just want extra protection?

hi theedge!

thanks..i ordered 4 x 12 fl. oz bottles.

i bought AP racing big brake kit 14" and i need to bleed the system and use new brake fluid. each 12 fl. oz bottle was only $2.20.

i hope that is enough fluid for the front brakes...

thanks edge!

All DOT 3 and DOT 4 brake fluid is synthetic. If they have to tell you that, it's just marketing hype. DOT 4 is more hygroscopic than DOT 3.

Regardless if you are running glycol base or synthetic base brakefluid, one thing is true. Condensation will get into the system. Conventional fluid absorbs the water and keeps it in suspension (up to some saturation point). With synthetic, the water pools in the lowest points of the system. Synthetic is also more compressable than conventilnal and the difference can be felt at the pedal.

DOT 3, 4, and 5.1 is what you want to use (glycol based).

DOT 5 is silicone based and shouldn't be used without component changes.

One 12 oz bottle is good for a 10 full pumps on each of four wheels. You'll need at least all 4 of those bottles for a full flush (fresh clean clear fluid coming out of each bleed screw).
