Question Using the FRPP diff cover and clearance issues

I know is was posted here, but I cannot find it. Has anyone used this cover and it was not a problem to fit behind the BMR panhard bar>

From what I've read there are two different models of this cover for the Ford 8.8" differential. The FRPP Part# M4033G1 is for Mustangs up to 2004. The FRPP Part# M4033G2 is for 05-07 Mustangs. The main difference is that the G2 is a lower profile unit that was designed to not interfere with the 05-07 suspension. Whether it does or not I don't know.

The G2 is about $40 more expensive than the G1 and is just now coming out on the market. Summit Racing won't even have it in stock until March 15th. Search for Summit part numbers FMS-M-4033G1 and FMS-M-4033G2.

I have the G2 girdle on my '05 GT convertible, and it clears the factory panhard bar by about 1/2". So far no problems.

the new girdle from ford racing is designed specifically for the 05-07 with panhard bars etc. There seems to be plenty of clearance. So I would think the bmr should fit fine. I have a posting on the girdle under exterior mods. good luck
