It's just one of those things that add up to more HP on a N/A car. Combined with charge motion delete plates, aluminum D/S, headers, electric H2O pump, cold air kit with a tune and cams. Seperately they don't blow you away with HP but once everything is installed you start to see the benefit.

I want to get everything I can out of the N/A car but don't want any of the mods to effect the ability of going back to the stock tune and air box. Therefore I won't be doing the cams or the charge motion plates. JMO

Agreed. I'm installing the headers now and have everything else on the list, but I'm on the fence about cams. I just don't know if the performance benefit justifies the cost.

Once you've installed the CMCV plates, you'll realize it's only a 30 minute job to swap back to the stock plates. I wouldn't let that slow you down. Honestly, it's a total of four nuts (7mm hex), pull up on the fuel rails, pull three lines (two on QR fittings, one in the back on a barb), eleven electrical fittings (two on the throttle body, one on the CMCV actuator in back, and the eight injector harnesses) then ten bolts (8mm hex) and the intake comes right out. The CMCV setup is all bolted to the manifold, and the swap is done outside of the car. Honestly, it's that easy. Cams, not so much... Also, if you have long-tube headers, THAT will preclude swapping back to the factory tune as well.

I have shorty headers and again not much benefit by themselves but with the other mods.

Hey Rich,
I am with you. My goal with this Stang is to see what I can do N/A. I have had a SC'er.(Kennebell) on a 96 Cobra and blew up that motor. Not going down that same path this time. I know you are in California but when you do the pullies go for the water pump at the same time. It is a good mod!!!!!!!! And is ECO friendly!

Are you talking about this one Scott? Next exterior mod is going to be the Cervini splitter.
