What is the downside to underdrive pulleys? Will the battery go dead easier? Will the airconditioner not work as well, will the water pump not cool the engine fast enough?

Thanks for the info

I've had the UD pulleys on for about 6-7 months and had no problems at all. I doubt anyone will have any problems either. Maybe years back it would have been more risky.

This is good info. I have been thinking about headers and pulleys.

Check out SeanHylandMotorsports and read what they say about their pulleys. Some companies are selling a 3 pulley underdrive kit which can damage the alternator. Also, the weight needs to be close to the factory pulley weight. I see a lot of kits that are lighter, a lot lighter, which also can cause a problem.
