Comparing apples to oranges.

There are stock type mounts, there are camber plates, and then there are Steeda mounts which are sort of a hybrid.

They, basically, camber plates that use urethane bushings instead of spherical bearings which makes them quieter and more street friendly than full race camber plates. But with adjustment for camber, and while taking care of the popping and breakage issues that the Ford mounts have.

I sell a lot of them. No they aren't cheap, but Ford has redesigned the upper mounts a number of times since 2005, and then keep redesigning them, which tells me they just don't get them right. The GT500's have stiffer rubber in them because they carry more weight, functionally the design is still the same.

Let's say you but Ford mounts, than because you lowered the car you will likely need or want some way of adjusting camber, which means either bolts, plates or Steeda HD mounts. Bolts are cheap, but weak. And the cost of bolts adds to the cost of Ford mounts. Yes, it's less than the Steeda mounts, but also not quite as good. I also sell Maximum Motorsports Camber plates, which are a bit more than the $299 shipped I sell the Steeda HD's for (the MM's are $337/set). MM's are full blown competition plates with spherical bearings.
