"The Ultimate Mustang Driveshaft" with Free UPS-100% Satisfaction Guaranteed

Over 120 units now on the road/track
with 100% customer satisfaction.

Our 40+ years experience leads to a high-quality vibration free driveshaft. Our shafts are currently on a wide range of Mustangs:
  • V8 manual and automatic
  • V6 manual and automatic
  • Lowered vehicles
  • Non-lowered vehicles
Our shaft that uses an adapter plate is currently being run on V8 applications with automatic transmissions without a single complaint of vibration or NVH.

Our shafts are currently on vehicles that have been lowered up to 1 1/2 inches without a single complaint of vibration or NVH, no "fine tuning" of pinion angles or flange rotating required.

Shaftmasters “Ultimate” 3.5 inch Mustang Driveshaft

Shaftmasters offers 3.5” diameter single piece aluminum driveshafts for 2005 and up Mustangs. Order yours today at
http://www.shaftmasters.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=17_23

Here are a few reasons we consider this to be the best aluminum shaft you can buy.
  • Weighs under 17lbs
  • Reduces weight and rotational mass
  • 3.5” diameter X .125” wall thickness 6061-T6 aluminum tubing
  • Gives more clearance on vehicles that have been lowered or have short throw shifters
  • 1350 series Spicer solid rear ujoint- rated for 20% more torque than 1330 series
  • Rated at 8044 RPM 1/2 Critical Speed and 5036 FT-LB Torsional Yeild
  • Full length sound deadener-reduces NVH
  • Available with adapter plate or replacement pinion flange
  • Our 40 years experience manufacturing and repairing driveshafts
  • This is a true 3.5” diameter shaft, not 3.5” tapering to 4”
  • High speed balanced
These shafts are priced at $595 for replacement pinion flange version and $645 for the adapter plate version. Both with Free UPS Ground shipping to the continental US.

When you consider the clearance issues involved when installing a 4” shaft on a lowered vehicle we think it is worth the few extra dollars for the added safety and peace of mind.

The photo on the left below shows comparison between 1350 series and 1330 series universal joints. The photo on the right shows 3.5"X.125" tubing vs. the 4" tubing of a cut-down Ranger shaft.

I've bought their 3.5" version in Decemeber. Run's smooth with no vibrations or problems of any kind. The customer service from Richard and Davisd was great.

David-

I'm kinda worried about pinion angle. I have my rear lowered about 1.5", but my front is factory height. I did this to level out how the car looks and I'm very happy with it.... Also last weekend I installed aftermarket motor mounts, which raised my engine about 1/4".

I have aftermarket lower control arms but they are not adjustable and my upper control arm is not adjustable either. What kind of pinion angle problems do you think that I'll have??

These mod's sound very similar to Leo 06 gt's mods and he along with many of our other customers have had no need to adjust their pinion angle. Are you planning on going with the 3.5 or 4.0 inch diameter driveshaft? If your interested for no additional charge on the 3.5 inch we can upgrade the rear weld and flange yoke to a 1350 series u-joint. We can also do the same on the 4.0 inch shaft for an additional charge. We have seen discussion about concerns of only being able to easily mount a safety loop towards the front on these Mustangs leaving the rear of the shaft vulnerable. With a stronger u-joint in the rear it will decrease this vulnerability since the u-joints are the weak link on these shafts.

Looking at the 4" with adaptor plate...... the extra cost of the 3.5" is out of my range at this time. I guess I won't know about pinion angle until I install the shaft.......

Any concerns about using the adaptor plate when running around 500 rwhp?

Hey Robert,

Doing a stroker motor with turbo setup on my STang now. Would this drive shaft support 650-700rwhp?

Thanks

Tom,
Seeing as you have non-adjustable control arms, we think you should just go ahead and install the shaft and see how it runs. We seriously believe you will not have a problem with any aluminum shaft that is manufactured properly. We would like you to give us a call so we can discuss your different options.
Please give us a call at 1-866-912-2004
Thanks, David

We would like to quote you on a custom made 4" X .125 wall shaft with 1350 series rear ujoint. Please give us a call at 1-866-912-2004.
Thanks, David

Tom,
Thanks for your purchase and we look forward to your feedback. We think you made a wise decision going with the 3.5" It will give you more clearance not to mention it is made with .125 wall tube and a true 1350 series rear ujoint. That means it is 1350 series on both the driveshaft and the flange connection, not just the flange side. We felt it necessary to make the rear joint 1350 because most loops are installed at the front on these cars. All of our 3.5" shafts now feature the 1350 rear joint, even the V6 models.
Thanks Again,
David & Robert

Robert,
I'm right down the street in Allen Park. What would you charge for installation?

Hi Ryan,
We only work on driveshafts, not vehicles but we know of quite a few shops around here that could do the install for you. Were you leaning towards the adapter plate or the replacement flange? I called a ring and pinion shop we know, they said they would install it for you for $100.00.
