And keep in mind that if you turn it off with the chip, you lose the ability to turn it back on; it's off for good. I had my tuner revert mine back to stock since I want to be able to have TCS when I need it.

Just use the button on the dash - it's a pain, but it's the best solution we have now.

Just curious, why would you want traction control off at all times?

I've actually noticed that the TC in our GT's is not at ALL intrusive when im trying to have some fun. Last night I was coming home with a friend who has a 2000 GT, and I basically did a 360 with TC on!

I sometimes turn it off, though, since I can sometimes *sometimes* control the car better when the rear slides out.

PEP Traction Adapter

Not sure if it works on the 2005+, but this is the best answer if it does.

Wasn't there something on this product a few years back? I remember reading a thread in another mustang forum where these traction modules would sometimes be faulty and turn ON traction in the middle of wheelspin, and also turn OFF traction when you were sliding or something?

Don't quote me on it, but i KNOW I read something on a faulty traction module...

This is a true statement. When you load a tune with the traction control turned off, it sends the ABS module a value other than it expects, defaulting the system off. In other words, even the switch won't turn it back on.

Personally, I'll just drive with it on, and turn it off (at the track) when I need to.

I've done that, I've even made runs with Traction Control and A/C on.

The A/C is good for those sweaty palms!

I'm not sure how you could accidently leave it on during a run. I'm pretty sure you would notice it during the burnout (don't ask me why I know this).
