Since some of us bought our Mustangs to enjoy the car and aren't necessarily fixated on a "need for speed".

Don't get me wrong... Tunes are cool but they're simply not high priority mods, at least to me. Will I eventually drop a Bamachips tune on my car, heck ya! Will I drop all my other mod's planned and get the tune right now since someone 1500 miles away from me over-generalized and said that all "no tune" CAI's need to have aftermarket tunes? NOT!!!

Looks like Doug put a nice tune on your car , but I sure would never go back to whoever did that first chart.

At a quick glance the first chart looks like the car shifted down to 3rd and the torque converter wasn't locked down. Also shows the K&N on your car going pig rich, not lean.

I got an Airaid system in my car, without a tune, and the check engine light has NEVER come on! The car has run better since I put this system in, and there hasn't been any issues with it. I will be getting a BamaChips X-Cal over the winter, but so far, I haven't had any problems with my car or the Airaid.

And you won't either, Airaid makes a great option

When you're ready, Doug has tunes for it as well

The 2ed one is the tune with Doug from Bamatunes on November 11th in St. Louis.
Currently the issue is with air flow, you can see the changes Doug made with the tune. also note the HP difference, took out the torque converter problem and smoothed out the roughness.

Which dyno would you like your car to be?
The 2nd chart definitely looks much better than the 1st one, however on the 2nd chart the a/f stays around 16:1 until 4K...Doesn't that seem a little lean? I was under the impression that the a/f should be at or below 14.7:1 unless there is NO load on the engine (idle, coast down, etc.).

The first one is not a factory problem, they don't build cars to run on dynos. It a chart by a dyno operator who didn't know how to properly dyno 05+ Automatic Mustangs.

Thanks for the incouraging info Tony. Believe me, once the holidays go by, I will be on the phone with Doug, and getting myself an X-Cal II with 3 of his tunes for my Airiad.

The a/f on the 2nd dyno sheet (the one with Doug's tune) is at approx. 16:1 until approx. 4K and up. That seems very lean for WOT...or even cruise for that matter. I thought that the a/f should be at or below stioch (14.7:1) unless there is no load on engine (idle, etc.)...12.5-13:1 when at WOT. The a/f looks great above 4K, but seems lean below 4K. Anyone want to offer some input on this?
