TSB 06-9-9 Hesitation after long cruise

I have had this problem too and actually called my Ford Dealer who conveniently has never heard of this TSB... I made an appointment for this Friday at 8am.... I'll print out the TSB and bring it with me... Now my biggest concern is this:

Do I need to put my stock intake back on and put the stock tune back in? Guys who have done this and have an aftermarket intake and tune what did you do? I been told that the Ford computer can delete your tune and render ur programmer useless because it will no longer recognize your car....

with a problem like that you are going to have to put back on factory stuff, otherwise they are immediately going to blame it on that. So unless you feel like wasting your time which may happen anyway if they do nothing, then I suggest take the 5 minutes to put it back to stock, good luck

Depends on your dealer though I don't think they have to touch your PCM. You can ask them to not flash or PCM or call you before they do just in case.

It's a very quick fix, they pull the back seat, open the access door and re&re the pump. I think my slip for this fix recorded less than an hour to do it. FWIW the fix works great!

exactly
with something that simple I would say do it - switch back to stock and reflash.

I was lucky enough with my dealership that they didn't mind my upgrades but all dealers are different. Avoid any chance of a problem whenever you can

BTW - when you get it fixed you will be REAL happy - I know I am

(Also if you don't like strange service guys messing with your car, pull the backseat bottoms yourself before you go in - one less thing for them do do when they start working on your car and they won't have to manhandle your seats)

TSB service...

I had the same TSB performed on my 05 GT, with a shaker scoop, FPP cold air intake & tune. The didn't care one bit about the mods, and were more interested in where I got my parts from. One thing has nothing to do with the other ( tune/mods vs fuel pump TSB).

Also before you take the car in go to the link below and do what it says just in case they do update the ECM.
