Traction Control with SCT 2

I turned on the traction control with my xcal 2 and now the message center under the speedo says "check trac control" every time I start the car. I have to press the info then the reset buttons to get it to go away every time I start the car. I might as well just have the traction control on because then I would only have to press one button to turn it off.
Does anyone know a fix for this?
