Dont get it took her to the transmission shop and my uncle who owns it said she runs strong!! Transmission shifts perfect ..... Don't understand it
Before the converter I ran a 13.1 but stayed around 13.4 or better 60 ft stayed Around 2.1 something got it to a 1.9 once and my top speed was 104 or higher 106 the highest

Friday night first time I ran her with the converter she ran
13.23
1.87
105.6
With 10 min cool down time
Then after I ran her first she got 1 hr cool down time after each run with ice on motor and CAI tube
13.5
2.15
103

Then
13.3
2.05
103

13.4
2.05
104

I was told with the converter I should have with no problem getting in the 12s my mods are
JLT CAI
Performance torque converter
TUNER
410 gears
X pipe
And it's an 08 GT auto

Ran her again Sunday 13.087 and 1.89 for 60 was the best time everything after that sucked

Couple ppl at the track can't understand it either
Oh and some how I ran that 13.1 after I had been racing all night and maybe 20 cool down time

I believe it is also a tire issue. I am running a 3000 rpm stall Precision Industrie TC. You will get the most gains on your 60 ft times off the line. You are not making anymore horsepower then before but you are putting maybe 50 ponies more to the ground off the line. If you are wheel spinning you are giving that advantage up.
I know when I installed my TC it became a wheel spinning monster even with my 275 Nitto's

Not to sound like a jerk but your times are all over the place and with an auto trans car it shouldn't be that difficult; maybe you just need more practice learning how to launch. You might need the tune adjusted for the new 'verter too. What stall speed is it?

3500 .... I understand what y'all r saying but I had a guy from the track who is very familiar with racing ( been doing it for years) drive it a couple times and he didn't do any better ..... He said something isn't right And that it should leave harder .... He let me drive his car and rode with me to see if it was me and I did a 1.73 60 ft 12.038 at 112.56 top speed .... Like u said its a manual not to difficult.. I have almost new tires nitto drag radial 80 in front 50 in back and I am not spinning off the line .....

Wow...you have a 3500 stall and aren't spinning the wheels and mine is only a 3000 stall and I can't help but spin off the line. I would also guess your converter is not locking up. With the tires you have and that 3500 stall converter you should spin very easily...even at the track First thing to check is the tune. Who's tune are you running? With a 3500 stall you should be hitting the rear wheels with more like 75 horses instead of 50 like I said earlier. If you have a good dyno guy he can datalog your TC to see when it is locking in. Should be fully locked up before or on 3500 RPM.

Yes but who's tune are you running? Example: Brenspeed, American Muscle, etc. To get the most out of your TC you need to have a custom tune. They change things like shift pressure, firmness, shifting rpm and much more. It is amazing what they can change and do for performance.

I have tunes for my auto trans with 3000 rpm stall Precision Industries converter from both Brenspeed and American Muscle. Presently I am running the American Muscle tune. They worked with me on 9 different revisions to get the trans tune the way I wanted it. My car has all the pressures and firmness set at the max. It only upshifts when I reach 3000 rpm in each gear. Will not shift into OD until 55 mph and will downshift back into 4th when I hit 50 mph. It always keeps the car on it's toes but is very aggressive and some may not like it... but it is a beast when tune correctly. If you guys have not invested in a quality tune for you cars then you are missing out on some good stuff. Get them properly tune is my advise.
