Tokico D Spec Remote adjusters
Is anyone using the remote adjusters for the Tokico D-Spec shocks? Do the adjusters need to be mounted or are the adjusters just inserted through a hole in the trunk liner? If they need to be mounted where did you mount them? I would like to see installed pictures if available.
There is a lot of info. about the Tockico D-Spec shocks/struts. There doesn't seem to be any negatives of these. I would like input of pros and cons of the D-Specs. Particularly the cons.

I have the d-spec's and love them...no cons in my mind. I'm able to take the car from the drag strip to autocross only by having to adjust them.
I dont have the adjusters but yes you do have to mount them. you could insert them behind the liner then over the top.Personally it's not that big a deal to move the liner out of the way and adjust them.
If there is one "con" it's like anything else, if your doing one thing (drag racing) you can get better shocks. If you going Autocrossing, you can get better shocks...but these give a happy medium. and your not swapping out shocks when you want to do other things.

How do the shocks ride on the softer settings? I've stiffened up my car quite a bit, and it would be nice to have a little softer ride on the 4 hour drive to the track. Then I could adjust them when I got there.

Actually, I haven't made it to full soft yet, but they ride much better than the stock shocks did. Although I may not be the best judge since my stock shocks only had about 20 miles on them before I pulled them off.

I cut holes in the carpet for the remote adjusters. It doesn't look too bad and will make it easier to adjust the passenger side with the Shaker 1000's sub box, just reach across and make the adjustments. I might zip tie them out of the way to keep them from flopping around but I don't think it will be a problem.
