Tire Recommendations Please

Hey everyone, Badandy here. So I need a new set of tires for 05 Torch Red Mustang. I have the stock 17" Bullit Rims and the tires are the standard Pirelli P-Zero Nero (235's).

Since I need a new set, I was wondering if I am better going off with a different tire that maybe is better than the Pirelli's for the price. I drive 98% of the time on dry pavement, but if it rains I need it not to slide around if I'm driving on the freeway.

So, can I get all your recommendations for a set of new tires to get and where to get them from knowing that I have the stock 2005 17" bullit rims?

Thanks all.

P.S.: I drive pretty aggresively, with no burnouts, and I NEED these tires to last about 20k miles, so no giving me racing compound tires that will last me 7k miles, no way, I'm looking for a good performing tire that will still give me some miles...

The BFG KDWS ia a great all around tire.I just wish they would come in a larger size for my 18x9" rims. I've run them in really bad weather up in the mountains and at the track. They don't have some techno design super tread but they get the job done for daily driving.

Those potenzas look great, but it looks as those are R compound tires. I am looking on tire rack and also have the Pirelli P Zero Nero's up on the page. It seems as the potenzas have WAY better traction, and it looks as if the treadwear is also a little bit better than the pirellis. is there truth to this, because i have to believe ultimate performance tires like those potenzas can't last as long as my pirellis.

btw, my pirellis lasted 23k miles.

My Pirelli's are still on the car, 46K miles. They are about worn out now though, about another month and I'm replacing them.

46k? Dude, that's probably really dangerous...

Anyway, people, I'm still looking for more recommendations on tires that will give above average performance on dry pavement and still have a useful life of around 22k miles for a spirited driver. Thanks.

I'm watching them carefully. They are just now getting to the wear bars and are showing between 2/32 -3/32 left. 2/32 is recommended replacement time.

I found these

http://www.costco.com/Tires/Product....ed=W&Width=235

these are like 240 bucks for 4 of them AND they have better ratings in every category than the stock p-zero nero's. must be a costco member to buy...

I would buy more P-Zero Neros from one of the take off places. You can't beat the prices. http://www.newtakeoff.com/ $300 for a set of 4.

Ya, I definitely saw that about 10 minutes after I posted. I was so excited too! Haha, well I guess not.

I think I'll just go with some stockers unless of course this gives me a new opportunity to get new, wider wheels and tires....

The newtakeoff site shows $86 for shipping!! So that is $386 for 4 tires. New ones from tirerack are $350 with shipping. I'm going to order from them.
