Question Tire pressure sensors

I bought a set of 07 wheels with tire pressure sensors .My 05 has a symbol for a tire warning light along with the rest of the idiot lights in the tachometer face. The pcm controls a great many functions and has many on/off controls. For example, cars destined for sale in Canada are required to have daylight driving lights while US cars do not. With the right code you can activate or de-activate them.
I am wondering if the same thing applies to the tire pressure light? The mustang tach face has not changed since 05,so maybe the pcm can turn this function on. Ford knew that it would be law by 06 or 07 to have tire pressure sensors and so built that function in to the computer so they would just have to activate the feature when it became law. Any Ideas?
Some would call that smart future planning to save money. Others don't think Ford is that smart. Is the tp feature in there and just needs to be activated?????????
