My hallway never looked this good before!

Just for kicks..Supercharger intake filter on the left.. a JLT-II filter on the right :P

Speed of Sound gauge pillar pod mounted with Autometer Nexus Boost/Vacuum, Fuel Pressure and Coolant Temperature gauges

Boost/Vac gauge:

Fuel Pressure gauge (sender wasn't connected, hence the bogus reading)

Coolant temperature gauge:

AFR Gauge installed between the AC Vents (had to drill the dash to install this.. but i love how it turned out!)
p.s: the wideband sensor wasn't connected.. hence the 14.9AFR



all gauges set to blue, to match up with MyColor dash

It begins.. the last N/A moments

STB removed, and a whole bunch of cables unplugged

Intake manifold removed along with all the hoses connected to it.
New watercross installed

disassembled the blower from the new intake manifold.. and behold!
a 5" thick aluminum intercooler core

New intake manifold installed, coolant hoses laid out, knock sensors adjusted, ready to bolt the blower onto the new manifold

Blower goes on

Ford Racing 0 Degree spark plugs go on

Throttle body installed

New Fluidyne Intercooler heat exchanger sits right behind the lower GT500 grille


Bosch electric IC water pump

Radiator, AC core, IC heat exchanger and IC Pump are in place

Bypass actuator (BOV) is shown here behind the compressor (under the blue trunking hose)

i took her out for the first ride ever yesterday at 4AM.
i could feel her reacting before i floored it.
if you drive it normally.. you're mostly driving in Vacuum, or 1-3PSI boost, and it's VERY drivable.. she aint jumping like i was worried it would
but then. i pushed it a bit and had to change my pants
to be honest, the whipple kinda makes me wish i had an auto
it's scary fast.. you barely shift into gear before you hit the rev limiter and it's time to shift to an upper one
i went WOT on the 4th gear.. in a few seconds i went up from 60 to 130mph. i love it!
i'm running stock gears (3.55) and i intend on keeping them till the new whipple grin wears off
i only have 2 minor issues so far:
the FRPP tune sets the high speed fan trigger temp at 215F
and looking at my coolant temp gauge (which i'm glad i got, cuz the dash gauge is sitting happily between C and H at all times like there's nothing wrong) goes up from 185-190 to 210F, then the fan kicks in and brings the temp back down to 180 then switches off.
so if going in traffic or on a hot day, i expect the coolant temp to keep going up and down..
finally coasting on the 5th gear is just too darn loud
dunno if it's normal, but when in 5th gear and on low RPM, the car has a LOUD drone from the stock exhaust, and i can get rid of it by lightly holding the accellerator down
all in all.. i LOVE it!!!

You did an awesome job. I also think your hood modifications worked out great. Enjoy the power. Don't forget to share some of your driving stories in the future. If I remember correctly you posted way back about all the high powered cars running around over there. Show them what "Powered by Ford" means.

awesome write up! makes me want to dump my entire tax return, take out a pension loan and order one of those bad boys. then again i think of food, heat, air condition, water and electricty (i just gotta hve my mustang source!) and i hesitate. still, it pushes me to save a little bit hereand there ahd hopefully one day have my own.

Well, in theory, the faster you go, the more time dilates around you, thereby allowing your 'stang (and you) to stay younger longer, while the rest of the world get's older. Of course, even at 140mph, we're talking microseconds per year, but hey, those are microseconds you wouldn't have at 50mph.

Louie, nice job and I must admit when you first showed me how much they had to cut on your hood, I was skeptical. They did an awsome job on it though and like mine it is probably stronger then it was before.

I know exactly how you feel about the $$$ situation. Supercharging is not cheap. I also have to "support" my twin-turbo IROC-Z.....

You can confirm this by releasing the large tube quick disconnect from the "U" behind the throttle body. This is the 5/8" hose that runs to the driver's side valve cover. Look for evidence of oil in it. You'll see it!!

i appreciate the input Willie, although i'm pretty familiar with the matter, i thought the issue existed with the passenger side PCV only, as the driver side crank case didn't spit out any oil when tested (or so i remember)
however i can see you've installed an oil separator on the driver side.
what about the passenger side?
