tire help
I am trying to get a set of drag radials that will match the stock 17 inch tires on my 07 gt. I've never bought a set drag radials before and I didn't realize that they don't make a set that are the same size as out stock tires. The guy at Jegs recomended a 245/45 so that's what I went with but after reading some of the posts on here I'm afraid I might have messed up. I think they are going to be about an inch or so shorter than the front's. Is that going to make it look stupid???? Any help on this issue is greatly appreciated. Pictures would be great. I think they are the same height as 275/40's but not sure

Are you just planning on running them at the strip or driving on them all the time?
They are much smaller than stock, I would not advise driving on the streets.
I have the 18" stockers, and run the 17" stockers on the rear with 275/40/17. But I do the swap at the strip.

I was wanting to try to find a size to match the stock tires on the front because I don't have a spare set of wheels but I didn't realize that they don't make them in stock size. I'll have to get 2 more wheels I guess. Discount wheel and tire claims to sell stock 17 inch take off's for $95 a piece. That doesn't seem to bad if its true.

Thanks for the info. I was very disappointed with my first trip to the track, hope these will help. 07 gt 5spd and only went 9.2 in the 1/8. It was hot and the car was having trouble hooking.
