Tire Dilema
Tire Dilema
It's time to get new tires on my car and I dont know what ones to go with. I already have Mickey Thompson ET Streets on my stock wheels for when I go to the Drag strip, and I am looking for a new set of wheels for the street in eather 18 or 19. So the tires I choose are going to be the daily driven tires and they also need to perform well on a road course because I am planning on taking my car to some track days. What street tire performs the best for traction?
I'm sure you'll get a thousand and one ideas on this one, but I would try BFG KDW's. I've been using the KDWS model in 17 inch and they get a lot of traction. Here's a link.....

I was torn between the KDWs and Nitto 555s. What sold me on the Nitto's was the lack of road noise compared to the KDWs. After speaking with quite a few people that have them, I'm glad I made the choice I did. Although I really like the footprint of the KDWs...
Daily driver with track days I would recommend either the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D3's or the new Eagle F1 all season coming out in June/July. Carbon fiber sidewalls, kevlar wrapped belt package.
