Throttle Body
Interesting interpretation.Fact is Gale had no interest in dealing with GMS from the get go.It was Colin and I who convinced him to deal with you which in the end turned out to be nothing with you guys anyway. Also, It was I who arranged to get you the additional Ford and Duramax tuner,Not colin. If you remember correctly, you said: what would you like?.I gave you an idea of what I was looking for and you said well, I don't have them ready yet but you can have the prototype pieces and would send them over to extreme because it was convienent for both of us because we share a mutual friend and I was glad to run them on the car and promote the GMS name. ..Then, for several weeks you blew me off, never returned your phone calls or responded to me email inquiries and like some other members said above when they called the GMS office...He is not avail, which I experienced many times. But, I still managed to get the parts you needed didn't I?..I even brought one of them home to make it convienent for you to pick up because you needed it for testing...Does all this sound familiar now?. Did Colin make this happen for you?..I don't think so! Did you return them?..Not hardly nor did I ever expect you too. In the end,it doesn't matter to me because I know the throttle body makes power and I support it regardless if its yours or another company's.Its a well know fact in this industry you are the king of swapping parts among vendors and I am sure you have gotten your moneys worth from anything that came "out of your pocket" and this is an industry where we all try to help eachother out when we have good working relationships as you well know. I would have been honored to run any GMS products on my car and given you props on any of the magazine editorials the car was to get,but I guess you just viewed it/me as a "non-factor" ..Steeda sure didn't mind helping out and we know the deal behind Steeda don't we?
....In your most recent post, you indicated you can't win this one...You are correct!.. I hope this is my final post on this subject and you realize this is going nowhere and only clouding up the real subject at hand. I suggest you leave this alone now unless you really prefer me to take this to another level.....

I agree with Chris in that this isn't going anywhere. Now, I like popcorn and a good fight as much as the next guy... but this may not be the best place for it. I would hate to see such an interesting and informative thread get closed by mods due to a misunderstanding between gearheads. Let's just drop the argueing and get back on subject. We should be hearing the results of the GMS throttle body any minute now.
Im curious, does anyone know the size of the stock throttle body? Based on the stock MAF tube (81mm) it should be around 57mm... and anything larger than 62mm (with MAF 90mm) will start cutting into the 2.5" exhaust potential.

Back to the show:
Heck, I am in IOWA and I am home already !!! What is happening at the shop there! ????
The install and tune has to be done by now, unless they were really backed up at the shop. Maybe stkdidy is on his way home to report the results. That just worries me because if the results were good, Granatelli would have gotten on here ASAP to tell us.

Well then! Mine gets bolted on this weekend then. !!
Out of the box and onto the streets with it then.
I have been looking at it long enough!
Thank you for the "hint" of how it went. I look forward to stkdidy's post!

Interesting point of view. In the end you twisted it all around. I did return all the parts and I did realize in the beginning that Gale Did not want to deal with "Granatelli" but it had nothing to do with me. It had to do with the fact that in 1982 we ran 262mph with the car I drove to high school everyday and Gales Trans Am was 30mph slower. Gales and Vince Granatelli got it a debate at Bonneville about it and the rest is history. Collin recognized that and saw the opportunity to work together. I am not sure what you are talking about as it relates to Steeda. And naturally now that you don’t work at GBE your side deals are now irrelevant.
As to parts for your car, your last post basically agrees with my point you got me a few parts to test (Dodge and Ford not Chevy) and had they made the power GBE claimed we could have made a nice deal together. That is water under the bridge and not the point. The real point hear is that you came to this public forum and said we don’t make anything and I felt it was because you were pissed about not getting free parts from me.
I always return my calls and emails. As owner and CEO I have several hats that I must wear. The staff can handle the sales and I make myself available whenever possible which is 80% of the time.
We did do the dyno test on for stkdidy and he was so happy he purchased other parts for his car as well. I don’t want to steal his thunder since he is the one that said he would give his unbiased opinion of everything. But it did make the power we promised.
As I re read this post I realize I probably should have left paragraph one out but that is not my style. Good, Bad or Indifferent.
I never avoided you Chris and I told Extreme over and over I would make good on all the parts. You just did not want to wait. We were behind schedule but the end result is 35 different parts for the 05/06 cars that ROCK

Hummm!! Hey JR. I am 2600miles from you. If I buy one of your throttle bodies, take it to a tuner here in Dayton, Ohio with a Dynojet , do a stock before and after test and cannot produce similar gains will you take it back??? I will pay shipping. Just a third party test.
Scott
P.S. I want it to work as claimed. I am not for or against Granatelli.
