Those with JLT Intakes and JET T/B Spacers.....

Helping a buddy of mine adjust his pipe, he has the JLT1 on the car along with the T/B Spacer, any way to adjust the pipe so that it fits snug from hitting the resevoir, i'll also be helping him install the heat shield.

Any tips?

i think you need to reverse the rubber elbow that conects the jlt to the throttlebody. so the longer part of the U is tword the pipe not the throttlebody.

That's the way mine is currently set up and the pipe still hits the power steering reservoir. I think the heat shield limits your flexibility even more (which I why I'm still debating getting one). I've zipped tied a cloth around the reservoir for now to keep the pipe from getting scratched up any worse. But eventually I'd like to get a scrap piece of radiator hose around it instead so it doesn't look so bubba.

Mine is right up tight to the PS reservoir too. I trimmed the short end of the big hose as much as I dared when I installed the pipe. Then I put a piece of black self-adhesive felt (about 2" x 1" -available in any hardware store) lapped over the top edge of the back of the reservoir where the JLT pipe contacts it. This keeps the pipe from wearing on the reservoir and doesn't seem to cause any other issues. It's virtually invisible too! You have to look very hard at the attached pic to see the felt
Hope this helps.

Chris

I use felt on my JLT pipe as well, and it rests on the reservoir lid. I can't use my billet cap, so I put it on the Lightning. It was fine without the TBS, but with it, it just wouldn't fit.

Well crap. That answered my question. I also have that cap and was wondering about that...

For the power or lack there of that the spacer gives vs. the better fit of the JLT I don't think it's worth the aluminum it's made from. This seems to be a issue with any big aftermarket intake.

Justin, did you feel any difference in throttle lag when you took yours off? I've taken mine off several times, but I can feel a difference in throttle lag, so I keep putting it back on, even though Doug and I have proven it doesn't make any difference in hp on my car, for some reason I can feel a difference.

But for those that don't have one, save your money for something else unless you have a lot of throttle lag, then this 'might' help.

I didn't notice any difference. Who wants to buy mine? I painted it black

I'm running a custom dyno tune now without the spacer instead of my Bamachips tunes and the response is way better now with the custom tune.
